Winchester Model 1886 Short

The Winchester Model 1886 Short is a lever action rifle chambered in .45-90 Winchester and built on the same strong 1886 action made for heavy big bore cartridges. It uses a 24 inch button rifled round barrel, a deeply blued receiver and lever, and a Grade I walnut straight grip stock with a satin finish. A steel crescent buttplate and blued end cap keep the rifle in classic short rifle form.

A full length magazine tube, top tang safety, and rebounding hammer give the gun a traditional control layout. Marble Arms brass bead front and adjustable buckhorn rear sights get you on target, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for an optional side mounted receiver sight. The barrel has a recessed crown and a 1 in 20 twist, with brushed polish metal throughout.
